Ceramic coating is a form of modification used is to insulate standard or aftermarket headers or other exhaust components. This decreases the amount of heat in the engine bay, therefore reducing the intake manifold and general engine temperatures. There are a few types of thermal insulation but here at Papkes Customs we use a ceramic mixture that is bonded to the metal via thermal spraying and baking to give a tough ceramic coating with very good thermal insulation. This is often used on performance production cars and track-only racers.
We can take your header or other exhaust parts, turbo parts or other parts and coat them with a multitude of colors of ceramic coating. Make your engine bay look great and reduce the amount of heat that is retained – send it out the exhaust at the back!
